Autonomy software
Our autonomy software group aims to develop a foundation for other groups to build upon. Other research teams can conduct experiments and suggest improvements, which we then integrate into the platform.

Our base platform is Autoware Mini, a minimalistic Python-based autonomy software developed in-house with a permissive MIT license. It is built on Python and ROS 1, making it easy to get started with and well-suited for teaching and research. We have tested the platform by successfully driving it in the city center of Tartu, and also participated in the Tartu on-demand transportation project, providing autonomous rides to real passengers on the outskirts of Tartu. See the Software page for more details.
